The objective of this study is to explore the sociocultural conflicts and meanings of leisure experience for social integration of Chinese international students who are the core members of the internationalization of high school in Korea. Conducting the in-depth interview with six selected Chinese international students residing in Korea as they were judged to be suitable for the objective of this study, data was analyzed by using the comparative analysis method. In the results of this study, such sociocultural conflicts shown in the process of
social integration were drawn as stranger as an object of discrimination and exclusion, lack of emotional desire, and difficulty to establish relationships. Also, the meanings of leisure experience for social integration were composed of mutual understanding of culture as social engagement, coping with stress as social healing, and the formation of support system as social solidarity and unity. The significance of this study is to be used as basic data for establishing the basis of management system, satisfaction of successful life abroad, and measures of social integration of Chinese international students after attracting them.
