The purpose of this study was to examine the effects on the leisure activity types, self-esteem and social support types of psychosocial well-being for the elders. To achieve the purpose of this study, the leisure activity divided 4 types and to find out the psychosocisl well-being according to the types of leisure activity. The 4 types of leisure activity were pastime activity, interchanging with acquaintance, interest activity and participation to social-club activity. The result were summarized as follows. First, the leisure activity type which influences on subjective well-being includes pastime and interest activity. The elderly people\'s was most concentrated in listening to radio and watching TV, and next in meeting with family members, friends and neighbors. Second, the subjective well-being in elderly is significantly different according to the self-esteem level. Lastly, the elderly perceives higher social support in emotional support, appraisal support, informational support and material support in the decreasing order. The social support which influences on subjective well-being includes material support and appraisal support. The social support in elderly is significantly different according to the self-esteem level. These findings of research with provide useful informations for social work who develop programs and services to help the elderly increase the perceived psychosocial well-being of life.
